Unable to insert emojis on WIndows 11

Steps to reproduce

  • Type in a document
  • Press Win+. to bring up the emoji window
  • CLick on any emoji → nothing happens
  • It even seems like Obsidian is stuck
  • Press the Win key or Alt-Tab to give focus to Obsidian again

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes.

I will note that I can use the emoji toolbar to insert emojis and I can copy and paste emojis from another application into Obsidian. So it’s not a rendering issue.

And this emoji :+1:t4: was inserted using Win+. on the same machine.

Expected result

This :+1:t4::+1:t4::+1:t4:

Additional information

Sigh, never mind. I missed a step (the reinstalling of the newest installer) and with the new installer I don’t have the problem. So ignore…
