Unable to expand stacked dashboard tab

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a canvas with some content and pin the canvas
  2. Open a regular file
  3. Open another file and while this one is open, so you should have the canvas and two other files in tabs
  4. Stack the tabs (arrow top right > stack tabs)
  5. Try to access the canvas - it selects (you can see the file on the left be selected) but it’s not possible to expand it. Other tabs expand and slide as they should, but not a canvas. There’s no way I’ve found to open it other than close all the other tabs, or turn off stacking.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide?

Yes, I checked the same behaviour happens in the sandbox vault. See screen recording below.

Expected result

I would expect that when I clicked on the canvas tab, the stack would slide open like the other content tabs do, so I can still see the canvas.

Actual result

You can’t expand to see the canvas once you’ve got other tabs that are open and hence it’s closed.

Environment

Hello.

The installer was updated in 1.8.9 to Electron 34.3.0.

Not sure if it was a critical update or not, but might be worth eliminating that as a possible cause of the issue you are experiencing by doing a full install.

As far as I know I did that back in March when it was released, but I just did it again and there isn’t any change to behaviour. Thanks for the suggestion!
