Obsidian currently displays UI icons as a list of icons with descriptions.
I would like to restore the original display of one row of icons.
How do I do that?
Most likely a theme doing that. What theme are you using now?

Minimal + Style settings
you are right , it is theme, Default theme displays just icons.
Minimal theme settings as well? If so, in there turn off “text tables for primary navigation” should do it.
