UI glitches when doing any action at random intervals

Once you’ve done the above, delete everything above this line.

Steps to reproduce

This is quite hard to explain. There are no specific steps that consistently resolves in glitches. However, generally resizing or hovering tabs can make the glitch occur.

Mostly, interacting with the application makes every so often a black-out or partial black out of the app.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes! It happens in my PC on the Sandbox Vault too, doing the same.

Expected result

No glitches on the UI

Actual result

Glitches in the UI. I managed to record some videos that show the issue.

But it also happens in Sandbox

Additional information

I think it’s relevant to note that Github Desktop has a similar problem. Discord and Bitwarden however don’t. As far as I know, Obsidian, Github Desktop, Discord and Bitwarden all use Electron. Not sure why it happens in only the first two. But there might be something related to that.

Adding an example in the Sandbox Vault Obsidian_eOPHjdBpdQ.mp4 - Google Drive

This might also be something to do with your graphics card, or display settings.

What kind of GPU do you have?
Maybe check your GPU for available driver updates.
How much RAM do you have?

Also if you have some kind of graphics card utility software installed, there may be settings that can cause this. I’d google around for display artifacts related to your graphics card and see if you find anything similar.

This seems to be gpu/driver problem. Update your gpu drivers. If that does not work, Try to run obsidian with appearance->advanced>hardware acceleration off
