Trying to join the Discord Group - receive 'Unable to accept invite' message

What I’m trying to do

I am trying to join the Discord group.

Things I have tried

I have tried over several days to join the discord group. I click on the link and it opens my Discord app. The app gives me the message ‘Unable to accept invite’

Has anyone else received the same message? How do I solve this?
