I think you have auto updates enabled and you are on version 1.0.1 (Insider Build).
Someone posted the same problem earlier. The Devs are aware of this.

Obsidian 1.0.1 won't start

You are not the only one facing this problem. The problem has been reported to the developers already. In your case, I would recommend to delete (again) your .config/obsidian folder (it should already be enough to delete the “obsidian-1.0.1.asar” file - at least this worked for me), restart obsidian and temporarily deactivate “automatic updates” and “get insider builds”. What is more, I would strongly recommend to update your installer version to 1.0.0!
