would like a way to know how many notes in a category and in total.
Determine the number of notes by a category:
- ⌘⇧F (search)
tag:<my-tag> - press three dots (⋯) and choose
copy search results - copy the list of individual files
- paste the list to excel (etc)
- the number of selected cells is shown in status bar
If you use properties to specify category then each search result corresponds to exactly one file. Similarly you can use folders to specify category and then each search result path:folder corresponds to exactly one file. With tags this one–to–one correspondence is not guaranteed.
