Theme doesn't look as advertised

What I’m trying to do

I have installed the moonlight theme and the windows and tabs don’t look the same as advertised on the images. Is there some setting required for me to change?

The first image is what I have and the second is how it should look.

As you can see, the theme is supposed to change the central window and the tab look with blue colouring, as well as the right panel. But these remain in the default state, although the left panel has changed. The file browser is also meant to highlight the files in blue, but doesn’t on my version.

Things I have tried

I have tried looking for a solution on the forum and elsewhere and have found nothing. The theme doesn’t have anything for the style settings plugin either.

I am using ubuntu linux, if that makes a difference.

It looks like it was last updated ~4 years ago if this is the same version you have installed. Obsidian has changed a lot since then.

The same thing is happening with more recently updated themes. Obsidianite for example (updated 2 years ago). Are we supposed to be using themes more recent than even this?

The Outer windows, title bars, tabs etc don’t seem to change for any of the themes I am trying.

There was a major redesign between Obsidian v0.15.x and v1.0, and every major point update adds or changes some CSS in the default theme. I’d try to use recently updated community themes.

If you get into CSS, you can probably fix up older themes with CSS snippets or create a copy of the theme with a different name and work on that new theme.css file.
