The Outline's Scrollbar rapidly glitches / jiggles on each character press in long documents

The bug is still present as of 1.9.10. Uninstalled obsidian, deleted appdata, then reinstalled and tested in a sandbox vault.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a fresh vault
  2. Create a note, and copy-paste the entire contents of this: # XX-XXxxxxxxxx x xxx xxxx xx xxxx xxxx xx xxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxx xxxxx xxx, xxx - Pastebin.com
  3. Switch to Live Preview mode if not already
  4. In the right sidebar, select the outline view, then scroll down all the way to the bottom of the outline
  5. Drag one leaf below the Outline view leaf, for example the tags leaf (this is not mandatory, but needed here because of the limited amount of headings in this example document. I managed to reproduce on another document even when I skipped this step)
  6. Edit the document, for example by typing a few characters
  7. Observe that the Outline leaf is jumping up and down every ~2s

I moved this into its own thread because, in your example, that I can reproduce, the problem is NOT that the outline unfolds and scrolls to the top.

This is another small jiggle problem.

Yes, that is correct, the headings aren’t being unfolded from my experience as well. Thank you.

I am having this same issue, in a long document with many headers, in v1.9.12 for Windows.
It’s not breaking the program, but it is distracting!

I’ve started using the Quiet Outline plugin as a workaround.
