What I’m Trying to Do

I want to enable a Latvian language spellchecker on Mac, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to do so. This problem doesn’t occur on a Windows machine. I don’t want to change the entire macOS system language just to enable a Latvian spellchecker. Besides, it seems like it’s not even possible to add Latvian as a system language.

Things I Have Tried

  • Adding the Latvian language to the macOS system (not possible)
  • Creating a custom dictionaries folder within .obsidian and adding custom language packs
