The iPhone does not respond after startup, just a black screen

Steps to reproduce

I followed the instructions in the documentation at https://publish.obsidian.md/help-zh/Obsidian/iOS%E7%AB%AFapp After creating a new library [test] on the iOS side, I could not find this library [test] on the desktop. However, after I uninstalled and reinstalled Obsidian on my phone, I could see and synchronize this library [test] again. In order not to leave no test files in the system, I deleted all Obsidian-related files from iCLoud, uninstalled and reinstalled. As a result, there is no response after I start Obsidian, only a black screen.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Y

Expected result

Environment

Unable to provide debug info because there is nothing on the page

Additional information

iOS17.2

If you deleted your vault (all Obsidian-related files) from iCloud Drive with Obsidian still open or in memory, it seems likely it would act strange.

I’d try force quitting (swiping the app up and away) or restarting the phone. You should be presented with the initial create vault screen when you launch Obsidian.

Another option is creating a vault on the desktop (in iCloud) and waiting for it to sync over to the phone.

Yes, I have tried force quitting, shutting down and restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc., and also tried restoring all settings in the iPhone settings.

After reopening the app, there is only a black screen and create vault is not displayed.

The same problem on iPhone XR under iOS 17.2.1. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, deleting the Obsidian folder from iCloud, restoring from a backup. Nothing. Black screen after startup. Only by turning off iCloud access for Obsidian in the settings does the app run and I can create LOCAL vaults. When iCloud acess is turned on, the black screen and freeze again. There are no problems with a Windows laptop and desktop. Tried deleting the .obsidian\workspace-mobile.json file. It didn’t help either. WTF? Help please.

I have added a small video where you can see the iPhone stops working when iCloud access is enabled.

Curious if a resolution was ever achieved with this issue.

Logging out of iCloud on my device and logging back in was the solution for me.

Hi,
Thank you so much for the information.
I have the same problem I described in the following topic:
[Black screen after launching iPhone/iPad app]
I also heard about the possibility of disconnecting and re-signing in to my iCloud account.
However, a few months ago, when I spoke to an Apple person on the phone, they recommended not to do disconnecting/reconnecting because then it takes ages to recover all the notes on the Note application.
When you disconnected and reconnected, was all the iCloud data easily recovered for you?
