The copyright year in about popup shows 2022 instead of 2023

The copyright year still shows 2022 even when the current year is 2023 in About page (screenshot below)

Steps to reproduce

  • Open obsidian in Mac OS X
  • In the top menu bar click Obsidian → About Obsidian
  • In the about popup that comes you will see copyright as 2022

Expected result

Copyright should be 2023

Actual result

Copyright should be 2022

what do you get if you download an reinstall obsidian.

Why would it be changed to 2023? That would lose the ‘first publication’ copyright date and the protection that offers.

Not clear to me why 2022 is used as Obsidian has been around longer than that. For a website or software, I would use:

Copyright © 2020–2023 Dynalist Inc. All rights reserved.

… with the end year being updated each year.

This is just some auto generated info from build scripts. We didn’t put much thought into filling it. Our EULA is on the website.

It is now showing 2023 instead of 2024 (screenshot below)

It’s looking good as of v1.5.11 (Installer 1.5.8).
