The content of many notes was deleted, at least 30-50 pieces, and the connections between them also disappeared
Hello everyone. I’m new to Obsidian, I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks. And then yesterday I discovered that some documents are empty, although a couple of days ago there was information and I actively wrote a number of documents last week.
In the backup copies themselves, which are empty by default for these documents, the files themselves are there, but there is no content. And they are on the PC, I opened them in other programs, but there is nothing inside the document
I use a Mac and sync via iCloud on the iPhone too.
I really need help understanding what to do and how to return the data and the connections between them and prevent this situation from happening again.

Iserene is grateful for the answer and the hint. Yes, I just clicked this checkbox the other day, and then turned it off. I didn’t even think that the files would be unloaded and then become empty. But I wonder why only some files were damaged, and not all. And why is there no complete file left on the cloud itself and nothing in the history where the screenshots are stored. Maybe there is a way to somehow get the files or their versions, I tried to just find the versions but there is nothing I can cling to. And it is very difficult now to understand the moment when this happened and even more difficult now to understand how many files in total were damaged. It is somehow very strange that they all remained but were completely cleared. Now I will think about this all the time, instead of working)
I would check in the core File recovery plugin to see if there are any old snapshots you can recover:
Yeah, it’s hard to know what happened. Even if iCloud Drive’s settings are set correctly to always keep a local copy of files and folders, sometimes things can happen.
