Text cursor moves back deleting data, like auto Backspacing

Steps to reproduce

It often happens that in Edit mode text cursor start to move back deleting text. Looks like the Backspace button is automatically tapped. Please see screenplays. I also attached the test md file from those videos.

It’s hard to say for sure, but it mainly happens with - list item, and doesn’t happen with * list item (for both ul and ol). And sometimes near symbols - * ) (

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

I am sorry but I don’t quite understand what’s going on in your videos.

You are using a very old android device. You may wanna check which version of Android WebView you are running.

  1. I put text cursor in some place in note.
  2. Then text on the left of cursor start to automatically backspacing. I don’t tap on Backspace button. Deleting happens without my participation.

And only some places evoke auto deleting. So I tap on one place then on another before bad-place is found and auto deleting begins.

I don’t get the first 2 videos either but the third one after the 23-second mark, shows the same, or a very similar, bug I commented here. My reply includes GIFs that may help understand the issue and, maybe, both topics are related, otherwise my reply should be moved here.

Edit: if someone is having this or similar problems should try disabling Gboard settings that start with “Auto” in Settings > Preferences and the ones related to suggestions in Settings > Corrections & Suggestions. I think that or maybe a Gboard update is what solved this for me.
