Tried to create a folder for templates, it is very easily described in documentation:
In the bottom-left corner, click Settings ( ).
Under Core plugins → Templates → Template folder location, enter the folder containing your templates.
What is not described there is that the folder will not be found.
Things I have tried
I have tried to create it in the Vault, outside the vault, everywhere. Tried to copy path from ‘pwd’ command - no use. The folder can’t be found, even if everybody have permission to it. So I have two questions:
What is the problem, to create it during the installation? Is it so complicated?
How exactly the path is checked, so existing and ‘chmod 777’ folder is not found? what kind of methods are used?
Did you create the folder before trying to add its location to the Templates core plugin settings ?
If, yes, it should be suggested when you try to select the folder under the Template folder location.
At least, that’s how it always worked for me : Create a folder to store the templates within your vault → Select said folder into the plugin’s settings.
Another question that comes to my mind: How did you name your folder ?
Did you try to “hide” it by naming it something like: .templates ?
This is ridiculous, that application can’t create a folder in the Vault.
I tried everything, what came to mind, created folders like 'Documents\Vault\temp" used relative path, absolute path, changing access permissions.
The result is the same: Folder is not found.
