Template folder outside of vault

Things I have tried

  • I tried doing ../templates/ as in cd .. that you can do in Terminal, but that didn’t work. I’m honestly not even sure how I thought that it would.
  • I tried pasting the full path of the folder I want to set as my templates folder, but that didn’t work.
  • I consulted the help docs but they couldn’t help me.
  • I tried searching this forum for anything that could help but I didn’t find anything of use.
  • I tried using both the core Templates plugin and the community Templater plugin.

What I’m trying to do

I want to have one templates folder for all of my vaults. I have one folder that I keep all my vaults in, and I also want to have my templates folder there so that I don’t have to have one for each vault and so that I don’t have to see one templates folder in any vault.

Thanks in advance, I’m not sure if this is super easy or literally impossible but figured it was worth asking at least.
