I have tried to find the best solution for my friends and I to collaborate on a vault but I can’t really seem to figure it out how I can do this without constant merge conflicts on Git using obsidian-git.

Should I use other plugins for syncing?
Any files I might wanna add to my .gitignore?
Any way to have plugins that only some of us install while still keeping a baseline of plugins we need for the files to render properly like dataview?

I am not the most experienced obsidian used I have only used it for 3 weeks for note taking in college. And my friends are just starting out now. Please be patient with me

Unfortunately, Obsidian is currently not very good at real-time team collaboration. It’s possible but with several limitations. It’s on their roadmap though. See also:

Obsidian Sync: Live team collaborative editing

Idea is for a live share feature, similar to options like VS Code Live Share Extension Pack HackMD / CodiMD google docs for real-time team collaboration. The main feature is that one or more people can edit the same document at the same time and see each others cursors. Perhaps even sharing the same application UI state with panel locations, file browser, graph view, etc.

Trying obsidian in a corporate environment

I have been trying Obsidian on a personal basis for a few months and i love it. I want to use it in my day to day work and i want my manager to buy licenses for my team. My goal would be to create one huge obsidian vault for our entire project. But to do that the team (~10 people) need to be able to access the same vault and update it at the same time. (similar to google docs) Is this possible to do with the commercial license? I have not been able to find a clear answer to this.
