I love Obsidian and it stays open on my computer whenever I’m using it, but I don’t try to use it as an everything app. As a Mac user, I use Things 3 from Cultured Code as my primary task manager, but I make use of a couple of plugins to integrate it into Obsidian. The plugins are Things Today and Things Logbook. I did a writeup on the whole workflow if you are interested.
