Hi! I’d like to assign a tag to different blocks of text in different notes.
Not block id and not tag for a hole note. Is it possible?
You might refer to functionality in a different program maybe?
I don’t know of such but I do put tags to different text blocks and when I search for these tags, I am brought to the highlighted block of text automatically.
I suspect this is not what you want. But where would you put your tags then, I wonder?
Otherwise I like to word my sentences in a way that no such tags are even required and search would help me find what I’m looking for.
Keep in mind tags are note level properties, not blocks.
The format of block id’s is ^id. In addition to the automatically created one, you can create your own.
There is nothing stopping you from putting tags into block content, you just can’t put the # symbol in in the block id. I used to put tags either below or after a block, but found they turned into clutter and a hassle to maintain.
What is your intent?
when I search for these tags, I am brought to the highlighted block of text automatically
Thank you, now I see!
