Use case or problem
When one searches within a table in Live Preview, it turns into plaintext:
This makes the editing experience uncomfortable, especially when working in big tables, where seeing the plaintext can be overwhelming and disorienting. If one wanted to see their tables in plaintext, they would switch to Source.
This request was first filed as a bug report.
Proposed solution
Tables retain their Live Preview appearance (don’t become plaintext) when you search within them.
Current workaround (optional)
Switch to Reading view every time you search in tables.
Related feature requests (optional)
The request below asks for the opposite. I disagree with it and think that each view’s default table appearance should be retained. Also, one could easily bind ‘Switch to Source view’ to a hotkey (I use Ctrl/Cmd-R).
