Tab size shrinks back to 4 spaces on each restart

I’ve set my tab size to 8 instead of the default of 4, using tabs instead of spaces. In preview mode, everything renders as expected, but in editor mode, rendering reverts to 4 spaces every time I restart Obsidian, even though it remains 8 in settings. See screencap below.

Steps to reproduce

1. Set tab spaces to 8
2. Create a new note
3. Tab once and start typing on the line. You should see 8 spaces rendered before the text
4. Close and restart Obsidian (which should load the same note)

Expected result

The same note should retain 8 spaces for one tab in editor mode

Actual result

The same note shows 4 spaces for a tab instead of 8 spaces

• Operating system: macOS 11.2.3

• Obsidian version: 12.5

I can’t reproduce. Post a screen recording of this happening in the help vault.

I couldn’t reproduce it in the Help vault, but I narrowed the problem down to a community plugin I have installed. It might be how I’m using the plugin, but disabling it solves the problem until I have time to investigate further.
