Syncing via SMB

What I’m trying to do

Im trying to use Obsidian with a few different platforms - windows, Mac, Android, iPad.

I have a NAS at home that I use to create some shared SMB mounts that all my devices use.

However, I can’t see a way to get the iPad and android versions to use my SMB mount. The iPad even supports adding SMB mounts in the Files app, but Obsidian does not let you use this to browse and select an existing vault.

Is there any way to get syncing across all 4 devices preferably using SMB?

The whole reason I use Obsidian and my own NAS is so the data stays private.

I only have iOS devices but I’ve heard of a great app called FolderSync, which should be able to let you sync SMB on your android devices.

For iOS the answer is probably no, I end up using markdown editing apps like 1Writer that have WebDAV support. You can try to enable WebDAV for your NAS, then use 1Writer to add the connection.
