Syncing between Android and Windows - have Obsidian sync

I know this will sound really stupid.

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to sync between a Windows machine (v1.5.3) and an Android phone (v1.4.16).

I purchased the Obsidian sync and unable to get this to work.

Things I have tried

I have read the tutorials, multiple times, but clearly I’m missing things.
I created remote vault on both the primary (the windows machine) and on the phone.

Did you follow this tutorial or another?

Yes. I did.

Step One: Log in with Obsidian Account.
Did so on both Windows and Android.

Step Two: Create a New Remote Vault.
6. In Region, choose your server [region] for your remote vault. (Doesn’t exist)

SIDENOTE: There’s a permanent password but no confirmation textbox.

The issue isn’t making a remote vault - it’s connecting them.

Anyway, crashed and burned again. Will try another day.

  1. Exclude your Obsidian vault from antiviruses
  2. Turn off all Community plugins
    Settings/Community plugins/Resticted mode - Turn on
  3. Force close Obsidian App or Restart your mobile device

The solution was to uninstall and reinstall the vaults. I don’t know if it was a bug or something I did incorrectly - but it works as expected now.
