Quickly identify the location of the current active tab in the file/folder/Vault structure
Moving between tabs (documents) does not seem to affect the navigation (or file/folder) pane in any way, if the headers are collapsed.
The active tab should be highlighted in the navigation pane, and headers should automatically expand to show the active file, similar to the image below:
I agree and have suggested this in a few other places. Anything else just doesn’t make sense to me
I’d really like this change. I’m constantly battling with this, using that “Reveal file in navigation” tab menu option.
I did setup a hotkey for it, but it’s not as convenient as an auto sync option 
I stumbled upon this looking for something else, and this does appear to be how it works as of obsidian 1.7.4. The active tab file is highlighted in the navigation pane. I tested it in the sandbox vault and in my project vault using minimal theme, so if it still isn’t working for you, you may need to update or check if your theme or something else is preventing it.
