What I’m trying to do
I went on a trip and used my iPad for Obsidian. Upon returning home, my Mac synced with my iPad and deleted 7,000 files, only keeping the 3 or 4 I created while away. Files are still on my computer, so worst case scenario I can recreate my vault, but I’d like to 1) understand what happened so it doesn’t happen again and 2) recover my plugins and themes, as I had quite a few and reinstalling and configuring them one by one is going to take a LONG time.
Things I have tried
Tried syncing from the iPad, which still had all of my files, but doing so removed all 7,000 files, again leaving me with only the new ones. I get now that it was copying what was on my Mac, but still not sure why my Mac deleted all of my files since they were on the iPad and there was no reason for Obsidian to think I had deleted all of them.
