Survey: User interface needfinding research for school project. Would love to hear from this community!

Hello everyone,

I am a graduate student at Georgia Tech, currently working on a course called Human-Computer Interaction. I am doing some preliminary needfinding on potential improvements to Obsidian.

I picked Obsidian for this project because aside from being a daily Obsidian user myself, I knew the enthusiastic user community would be able to provide a lot of quality input. Also, it seemed like a great opportunity to dig even deeper into Obsidian than I had been already, and begin contributing to the forum! If this survey gets some good input I will be back for a follow-up at some point.

This survey does not ask for any personal information other than age (optional), and does not require login or tracking of any kind. If you have any questions let me know.

I would love to hear your feedback at the link below! Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I am following up to this post from a few weeks ago.

As I said in that post, I am a graduate student at Georgia Tech, currently working on a course called Human-Computer Interaction.

This time, I have taken previous feedback and applied them to a prototype for potential changes to the interface which I hope could provide a smoother, more intuitive experience for new Obsidian users.

This survey does not ask for any personal information other than age (optional), and does not require login or tracking of any kind. If you have any questions let me know.

The user community provided a lot of great insights for my last survey! Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in looking at my survey and reviewing my proposed revisions.

I think it’s okay if you keep your your posts in one thread.

Thanks; it didn’t occur to me that I ought to do that. I am definitely not trying to spam the forum or create work for people!

Update to this: had an issue with image hosting. Switched providers and it should be good now. Please try the link again if it wasn’t working for you previously. Thanks again.

Update: I’ve maxed out on responses, so polling is closed now. Thanks everyone for your great responses!
