Support user default preferences for "show more context" and sort order in backlinks

Use case or problem

There is currently no way to have the backlinks section default to “show more context” enabled or default to a different sort order. Currently everytime I show backlinks I have to click the show more context and change the sort to newest first. Would be great to be able to save these view preferences

Proposed solution

Have the user setting to toggle “show more context” to be default on/off and chose the preferred default sort order

Current workaround (optional)

Current workaround is simply to respecify my preferred view options on every backlinks panel.

+1 on this feature. I want the save my preference to sort from “New to Old” as well.

anyway, there’s no workaround i can find for this sort option yet, but for @felkerjosh “show more context”, that’s doable with nothingislost/obsidian-query-control (github.com)

It saved for backlinks in pane. It’s not saved for backlinks in document

Retain/remember status of “Backlinks in document”

I completely agree, I’m hoping for same feature, I hope it gets implemented at some point, it becomes real tiring having to use the mouse to collapse the backlinks!
