Support strict line break mode in Live Preview

Steps to reproduce

  • Enable “Strict line break mode”
  • Write:
> [!INFO]
> word1
> word2

word1
word2

Expected result

No line breaks at all.

Actual result

Only the text in callout block followed strict line break mode, but not regular text.

Where is this “restricted mode” toggle you are talking about?

The toggle in Settings > Community plugins does something completely different.

Are you in reading view? That setting only applies to reading view (not live preview) for standard blocks of text:

Strict line breaks
Markdown specs ignore single line breaks in reading view. Turn this off to make single line breaks visible.

Setting on, single line breaks are not visible in reading mode.
