When you want to customize or simply be aware of all the types of special behaviors and functionality made possible via clicks, modifier keys, etc.
If there were a special section within the Hotkey editor that displayed all these behaviors, allowing you to customize those that are customizable. To be clear, the ones that aren’t customizable would still be shown. This would be a great way to get new users up to speed with some of the tricks you may not find in the documentation.
Read the forum and Discord and become familiar with common software interaction behaviors.
Not completely relevant, but found it to be in same thought process: Support for mouse button in hotkey
Hi, bumping this.
I’m coming from the Bear app and my workflow is to always open notes in new windows.
On macOS, it’s possible to do so in Obsidian through command + option + left shift + click - this is very tedious, it would be a lot better if I could customise the hotkey to just be command + click (which is currently set to opening in a new tab rather than a new window).
Would really appreciate if anyone has a good workaround for this
