I like your proposed implementation. But, in case you were unaware, a similar feature was implemented in 0.10.8. Here’s a quote from the release notes: You can now link to a page of a PDF file by adding #page=number at the end. For example [[My file.pdf#page=3]]. This also works for embedded PDFs.
