I’m new to Obsidian but am absolutely loving it. However, as I’m not super technical, it would be too time consuming for me to try and recreate my former “All in One” apps inside Obsidian (meaning it will handle all my tasks, notes, spreadsheets, databases, and reference materials).
For tasks, I’m using Todoist, which has a great plugin already for Obsidian.
Where I’m really struggling is replacing the Database feature in both Notion and Coda. Just having a spreadsheet / base with customized columns, that I can filter and sort with a UI (and include attachments and all that jazz). I know a lot of this this is possible with Dataview, but the commitment to recreate every database I’m porting over is too difficult, as well as the process of sorting and adding and refining “rows”. Property field types in Obsidian are also limited.
Are there any ideas on how to make a stack with Todoist, Obsidian, and something else that could accomplish the above? Would be great if a plugin or iframe could embed an external database or something like that so it’s still inside an Obsidian note.
Thanks very much in advance for any advice.
