Subscript not showing as bold in WYSIWYG mode

Steps to reproduce

Start bold using **content**
Make a subscript inside using
eg. **C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>12</sub>O<sub>6</sub>**

Expected result

All of the content inside the asterisks is bold, like here: C6H12O6

Actual result

The normal text is bold, but any subscript text is standard.

Do I need to wrap the inside of the <sub> tags with bold as well? Because that is pretty annoying…
