any way to change the formatting to strikethrough formatting?
Just to simulate a TaskPaper syntax…

I don’t know anything about Taskpaper, but you can strikethrough text by surrounding content in double tildes. It works in the forum, too.

Type this: ~~Strikethrough~~
To get this: Strikethrough

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, perhaps provide some examples and use cases. Without more to go on, this seems more like a help post than a feature request. Feel free to elaborate!

I suspect the OP is talking about strikethrough on completed tasks… If so, there’re ways to do it:
