Storing Obsidian notes in a database

I am wondering if it would be possible to store Obsidian notes in a database (self hosted) say with help of a plugin. I am thinking two different ways to achieve this - 1. Obsidian will save things locally and a plugin will update notes, tags etc. into a database at specified interval 2. To save directly into a database if that is feasible.
I absolutely love everything about Obsidian as it currently is (local storage and syncing). It perfectly suits by my personal knowledge management needs.
I am asking this because I have special use case where I will have 100’s of thousands of notes created by a huge team. To learn more about the use case please check Can Obsidian handle 100's of thousands of notes?
Your opinion and suggestions will be helpful! Thank you!
