Use case or problem

It would be great if there is an optional status bar for Spellcheck since sometimes I needed to turn off the spellcheck to do freewriting but then I forgot to turn it on when I need the spellcheck.

Proposed solution

Please provide status information of the spellcheck in the status bar. This status is optional and can be enabled/disabled.

As a workaround you could set an external timer with reminder text “Turn spellcheck back on”. If you don’t write for a set length of time, set it for longer than your longest session.
