Use case or problem
I’m trying to ensure correct spelling, specifically in Obsidian’s “alternate text” pipe function of wikilinks (e.g. [[Note Name | Mispelled Werds]].
Although I do feel that all text within a wikilink should be spell checked.
Proposed solution
Extend the spell checker’s functionality to wikilinks.
Current workaround (optional)
- Type the text somewhere in the body of the note to verify that the spelling is correct.
- Copy the text into the wikilink’s alternate text.
Additional Information
I believe I noticed that sometimes Obsidian does spell check within a wikilink. I couldn’t quite determine what was the criteria for if it would or not was. It’s possible that it may have been an error on my part & it never did spell check any wikilinks.
