Steps to reproduce
Dragging images in from Finder to Obsidian, some images are showing up, others are not. Seems to be no logical reason to which image works or not.
Images shot on iPhone, AirDroped to Mac, converted to jpeg using Preview, then dragged into Obsidian.
The same images are not showing no both my MacBook Pro and my Mac Mini, but they ARE showing up in the iPhone app. The same images are not working when trying the Sandbox Vault either.
Optimize Mac storing in iCloud is turned off, iCloud folder has the Keep Downloaded checked.
I even tried dragging the images out of the iCloud folder, and dragging them into a Sandbox vault from local storage, no difference.

Yes.
Expected result
I expect all images to show up.
Actual result
Only some images show up. In the Sandbox image IMG_2260.jpeg is showing, IMG_2261.jpeg is not showing. Seems to be no reason to which images will show and which images will not.
