Feedback 1: Link’s alias update
Double-linking in obsidian supports aliasing links that automatically update the link when updating the file name corresponding to the link.
I’ve noticed that when the file name is the same as the link’s alias, updating the file name causes the alias to be modified at the same time (which doesn’t happen when they are different).
Example:Updating file name “AAAA” —> “AAAABBB”,and the alias in link change the same way:
Adding aliases to links is meant to make the link coherent in context, and it doesn’t seem necessary to update the aliases at the same time.
Proposed solution for Feedback 1
Do not change the alias when renaming the file.
Feedback 2: Better way to add double-link
Obsidian will suggest potential links in the backlink panel based on the current file name, but many times (at least in Chinese mode) you can’t find potential links if the file name is long or specific, I think it could be more flexible.
Proposed solution for Feedback 2
Enhance the backlink panel:Be able to search a certain word
in the panel —> show result in the panel—> easily add a link (the link format can be [filename|word]
)
Feedback 3: Better way to show outgoing-link
All the outgoing links are displayed directly in Obsidian’s outgoing-links panel, where I want to be able to distinguish between MD files (.md
) and other attachments (.jpg/.png/.mp3/.pdf
etc.)
Proposed solution for Feedback 3
Enhance the Outgoing-link panel:Be able to classify MD files (.md
) and other attachments (.jpg/.png/.mp3/.pdf
etc.)
from obsidian version 1.57 Windows
P.S. There may be additional feedback, which will be added in the future.
