Show the path to a note as the title of tabs rather than just the name of the note.
Things I have tried
There are several past posts about this, but they all seem to be outdated and no longer work. There is a “obsidian-path-title-plugin” plugin, but it no longer works. There’s a post where holroy explains how to do it using the Style Settings plugin, but the “Minimal > Titles > Tab title bar” settings don’t seem to exist any more.
Oh, what I’m looking for is the path to be up above that on the tab itself. I have multiple notes with the same name, but I need to be able to see up in the tabs which one is which so I know which tab to navigate to. The “obsidian-path-title-plugin” plugin used to do that.
@holroy I tried it myself just to be sure, but it looks like what @ariehen is referring to is just the title that appears at the top of a tab (the “tab title bar”) after you’ve already selected the tab. I’m looking for a way to show the path on every tab at once. (I think maybe what I’m talking about is the “tab title”, but not the “tab title bar” that only appears at the top of the currently selected tab.)
I have multiple notes with the same name, but I need to be able to see up in the tabs which one is which so I know which tab to navigate to. See the image in my previous reply.
It shows the same file twice in the tab title bar, and the full path in the active window. I’ve not seen any plugins (but I’ve not used the one you mentioned either) capable of inserting the path into the first line of the output if that’s what you’re asking about.
@ariehen 's post, and my comment, refer to the display of the path in the tab title of the currently open window (in my example the second tab).
I’m still hoping to find a plug-in or some way to show the path in each tab in the tabs across the top of the screen. If anyone has any advice on how to do that, please let me know. Thanks.
