Show note comments/highlights in right sidebar (but simpler than the Sidebar Highlights plugin)

Is there any interest in writing a plugin that shows all annotations/comments/highlights in a pane on the right sidebar? Maybe add ability to search, sort, and collapse/expand results. Researching existing plugins, Enhanced Annotations, CriticMarkup and Reading Comments seem overly complex, add too many additional features, for my purposes and Note Annotations is too limited. A relatively new plugin called Sidebar Highlights seems to fit the bill more so but adds additional functionality I don’t need (Collections). I can live with the Sidebar Highlights plugin but I would prefer a simpler plugin without the extra features if possible.

I edited the title to make clear that you know there are already plugins for this and want something different. I also shortened it a little. (Was: “Request: Show note annotations/comments/highlights in right sidebar pane”.)

@bamajon1974 You can turn off Collections now– in fact, you can almost turn off everything depending on how simple you want it to be. Let me know if you have any questions.
