Use case or problem
With the backlinks core plugin enabled, there seem to be two ways to view backlinks: in the right-hand bar, or at the bottom of the document. Neither of these are ideal - the right-hand column is too distracting, so I usually have it turned off, while having the backlinks at the bottom means you have to scroll all the way down to find them, and it’s also quite distracting when you’re typing at the end of the file.
Proposed solution
I’d like an option to have the backlinks at the top of the file, so I can easily see which notes are related when I first open a note. It should then disappear once I scroll down the file, as any other content would.

I would also appreciate a native feature for this. I share the same issues as described, especially on mobile.
I built a half-baked plugin that somewhat addresses this problem by making significant changes to the user interface, which makes it very susceptible to updates. It is neither a stable nor a long-term solution. Link

Seconding this! - I just installed SolomonRosemite’s plugin (Thanks!) and it is exactly what I was looking for. Fingers crossed the plugin holds for a little while.

I’d been looking for a way to do this for some time (one of the things I liked about Notion) really appreciated!
Just now I was looking for a way to show backlinks at the top and was surprised to see that they can only appear at the bottom.
I end up writing links manually at the top, which wastes a bit of time… I wonder if there’s a way to automate that.
Although the plugin does not have any automations, it should be able to handle your use case. Take a look at the two example pictures. Hope it helps.
