“Show backlinks at the bottom of notes” does not refresh until reopening the note

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Settings → Backlinks.
  2. Toggle “Show backlinks at the bottom of notes.”
  3. Observe that the current note does not update immediately.
  4. Close the current tab.
  5. Reopen the same note.

Expected result

  • When enabling or disabling “Show backlinks at the bottom of notes,” the note should update immediately without requiring the user to close and reopen the tab.

Actual result

  • The note does not refresh when the setting is toggled.
  • Backlinks continue to appear (or continue to be hidden) until the user closes the tab and reopens the note.
  • The setting technically works, but the UI does not update in real time.

Environment

  • Android (also reproducible on other platforms)
  • Obsidian version: 1.11.5
