Shortcut to create new topic in current folder?

Things I have tried

When I use the shortcut to create a new note (Ctrl/Cmd N):
→ The new note is created in the root of the vault, not in the folder where I am working right now

There seems to be no shortcut to create a new note in the active folder (eg. I just opened or where I edited another topic).

Being in a flow of thought it is annoying to locate the newly created topic and sort it into the right folder, where I just operated anyhow.
