Ctrl+Enter is a brilliant shortcut that takes a plain list item and converts it into a checkbox, and pressing it again ticks the said box. Brilliant.
But if I’d like to turn a checkbox into a plain list item, how can I do that? Sometimes Obsidian auto-creates a checkbox for me because it follows a previous checkbox but really I want a plain list item.
The Hotkeys++ plugin has a command to do this under toggle line to bulleted or numbered lists. It will cycle through plain list, checkbox and numbered items.
