Any insights on this odd issue?
When I type shift 7, instead of an ampersand (&) Obsidian now returns an odd character that I cannot even reproduce here with copy and paste. Only by a screenshot. If I copy and past here, it reproduces as an ampersand. (The odd character is between the E and the O in case that is not clear.)
What font is that? Are you sure it’s not just a fancy ampersand? One that very clearly shows an e t ligature.
By george you’re right! Thank you. I’ve never even heard of that font, let alone chosen it for anything. So I’m not sure how it got set as the default font for Obsidian. (Unless that’s how Obsidian is natively configured.) Changed it to Helvetica and the ampersand went back to its normal, boring self. Now that I know what’s going on, I think I’ll likely just stay with Arima.
