Share Intent sometimes not working

Steps to reproduce

  1. Share any text via share intent to Obsidian
  2. Obsidian opens
  3. sometimes then shows nothing, sometimes shows the file chooser
  4. if file chooser is shown press any file
  5. sometimes not appending to file

let me know if you still have this problem with 1.13.x when you get it.

Unfortunately the issue is still not resolved for me. Share Intent still sometimes does nothing into Obsidian (doesnt let me choose file or if i choose file them nothing happens)

when does it happen exactly? Can you provide reproducible steps?

It seems to be fixed in the recent version (1.14.4)

Steps had been:

  1. Select any piece of text in another app (e.g. browser)
  2. Use context menu “Share”
  3. Choose Obsidian
  4. Obisidian Opens
  5. File Choose is shown
  6. Chooose new file / or select existing
  7. sometimes here the new file / append to existing did never happen

I think it is related to file indexing on startup, that takes up some time (I am using syncthing to sync between devices)
