I appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide.

Thank you

Things I have tried

I checked my Mac and it is up to date (Sequoia 15.4.1 (24E263)
I updated the Obsidian app and all the plugins.
I opened the Tasks plugin in Obsidian/Community plugins, and

  • entered a global filter (“#Tasks” as recommended)
  • tried to turn the global filter on, but it would not work (I could see it on hover, but that’s all)
I closed and restarted the Obsidian app.
  • then on going into settings again, I saw the toggle for “Automatic updates” also was visible only on hover)

Then I looked up topics in forum.obsidian.md, using several different descriptions, and the only posts I found were for Windows OS, and said the bug did not happen on Mac OS.

But I am on Mac OS, and it is happening. So I sent the support email, and posted this request for assistance.

Thank you.

You could try to open the Sandbox vault to see if the toggles are back in there

If they’re back, this could mean there’s something wrong in your vault with either the theme you’re using, a CSS snippet (if you have any), a plugin … or a mix of everything (and you’ll need to find the culprit(s))

In your vault, you’ll probably have to switch back to the default Obsidian’s theme (in Obsidian's settings > Appearance), which could already help but if not, you’ll probably also need to turn on Restricted mode (in Obsidian's settings > Community plugins).
(Re-launching Obsidian after changing the theme and/or turning on Restricted Mode could be helpful too  )

Now, if you do have any css snippets enabled and the toggles don’t seem to work there either, this will probably require you to edit a .json file within the hidden .obsidian configuration folder though …
