Setting display language independently from interface language e.g. for relative dates in bases

What I’m trying to do

I want the output of bases’ relative() function to be in german language.

E.g. event_start.relative() should display in 6 Monaten instead of in 6 months

Things I have tried

Changing Settings - General - Language to German solves the issue. But I want the interface language to remain English, only the display language should change to German.
