What I’m trying to do

I am trying to find a way to add separators between notes and folders, like in this video.

Not sure if this is a plugin or is it a CSS snippet.

That is a plugin called Obsidian Custom Sort, and there’s a section on how to achieve that effect here:

I just had some notes for future viewers of the question:

  1. The before and after snippets only works with folders
  2. I can use the last snippet (nth-of-type) instead. Keep in mind that the index start with 2
