+1 on this, also linking this related post here, which is a FR for having “close to the right” as a palette command.

Commands / Hotkey for 'Close tabs to the right' and 'Close tabs to the left'

Use case or problem Currently need to right click on menu → ‘Close tabs to the right’. Would be better if this could be done with a shortcut. There currently is no option for ‘Close tabs to the left’ Proposed solution Add ‘Close tabs to the left’ option and add hotkeys for both actions
